Global Server IP's - Server Names. mc.happy-hg.com - Happy Hunger Games. Difference?

But if you don't have any bad intentions and say an ip, it results in a permanent ban. Also, people hardly remember ip's while server names are easier. In my first statement remember, they had no evil intentions. I feel that they should at least put that in consideration when they see that happen.

But if they did it once and got temp banned, if they do it again, it gets worse etc. Say he gets one chance, only a max of 2 people get advertised to, resulting in less people being advertised to etc. Also, if there are tons of people accidentally making that mistake, the same problem would happen.

Global Server IP's - Server Names. mc.happy-hg.com - Happy Hunger Games. Difference?

Ok, yes. I agree with you but (as I said at the end), what if you didn't realise there was a difference and in a pm ( which they should clearly state is being monitored) you say a server's ip. Instant permanent ban. I'm saying that it should not be a permanent ban but rather a temporary ban.

But how can you say that saying an ip would be for example equivalent to Murdering someonen in that situtation. As of right now, that is how it is I agree but I'm trying to say that, people who do not realise that saying an IP is different can be different to saying a server name, maybe it...

Do you have anything to support your thinking? (Why do you think as such...) For example, why is saying an ip worse than the name.

Global Server IP's - Server Names. mc.happy-hg.com - Happy Hunger Games. Difference?

Ok, I understand you know however, In terms of HHG rules, I dont think it deserves a permanent ban. I agree that the server name and server ip are different (now) but I feel, when you hear a server name, you gonna check it and when you get a server ip, your gonna check (or vice -versa, when you...

Global Server IP's - Server Names. mc.happy-hg.com - Happy Hunger Games. Difference?

Yes, they both refer to the same thing, the server. The name refers to the server and the ip refers to the server albeit in a different way.

Global Server IP's - Server Names. mc.happy-hg.com - Happy Hunger Games. Difference?

Ok I get what you mean but, I don't mean in a general sentence. I feel like a server name and ip are one in the same. They practically mean the same thing, the server. I'm saying that, while you be I don't know, temp muted for saying a server name, you shouldn't be permanently banned for saying...

Just might be too late for people who have already been banned for this. Also, it may be that you do not have their skype or they cannot get skype etc.

Global Server IP's - Server Names. mc.happy-hg.com - Happy Hunger Games. Difference?

Because people do have the choice to play other server's and if you PM someone then I believe it should be private anyway (thats another topic probably not going to be discussed by me). And I also meant that I think that a perma ban is too much for something that is practically the same (in my...

Global Server IP's - Server Names. mc.happy-hg.com - Happy Hunger Games. Difference?

Right ok :) I get what you mean. Basically, I meant when they are not trying to advertise it (i'll edit it now). Basically, when you say a Server IP, it results in a perma ban while when you say a name, it just ends with a mute etc.

Global Server IP's - Server Names. mc.happy-hg.com - Happy Hunger Games. Difference?

Hello, I am back. A long while back I made a thread on Server Names (found here: http://www.happy-hg.com/forum/threads/mini-rant-opinionated.13871/) and there I talked about the rule on server names and I do know where I got it wrong. I confused server names with server IP's, thinking that they...

Ok, im going to have a rant so please do give your opinions and answers, also, just want to see your opinions on this matter so please don't hate. You all know that when you accidentally promote a server you get off with a warning correct? and of course if you do this on purpose then you get...
