But if you don't have any bad intentions and say an ip, it results in a permanent ban. Also, people hardly remember ip's while server names are easier. In my first statement remember, they had no evil intentions. I feel that they should at least put that in consideration when they see that happen.
But if they did it once and got temp banned, if they do it again, it gets worse etc. Say he gets one chance, only a max of 2 people get advertised to, resulting in less people being advertised to etc. Also, if there are tons of people accidentally making that mistake, the same problem would happen.
Ok, yes. I agree with you but (as I said at the end), what if you didn't realise there was a difference and in a pm ( which they should clearly state is being monitored) you say a server's ip. Instant permanent ban. I'm saying that it should not be a permanent ban but rather a temporary ban.
But how can you say that saying an ip would be for example equivalent to Murdering someonen in that situtation. As of right now, that is how it is I agree but I'm trying to say that, people who do not realise that saying an IP is different can be different to saying a server name, maybe it...
Ok, I understand you know however, In terms of HHG rules, I dont think it deserves a permanent ban. I agree that the server name and server ip are different (now) but I feel, when you hear a server name, you gonna check it and when you get a server ip, your gonna check (or vice -versa, when you...
Ok I get what you mean but, I don't mean in a general sentence. I feel like a server name and ip are one in the same. They practically mean the same thing, the server. I'm saying that, while you be I don't know, temp muted for saying a server name, you shouldn't be permanently banned for saying...
Just might be too late for people who have already been banned for this. Also, it may be that you do not have their skype or they cannot get skype etc.
Because people do have the choice to play other server's and if you PM someone then I believe it should be private anyway (thats another topic probably not going to be discussed by me). And I also meant that I think that a perma ban is too much for something that is practically the same (in my...
