I think you be able to see the players hearts. Like in pvp when you hit someone you see their hearts, it can be like that to in Mobarena but you can see their hearts at all times, so if they have low health you can go help them out so they can heal. Is I against the rules to camp in pvp, I don't do it but other people I see do. I forget their usernames though. I think it makes no sense that people do that, its pvp you fight now shift and hide. If you know if it is against the rules or not say something below! :)
