Invalid Minecart Fishing Rod Phase Glitch

Hello, today while playing with minecarts I found a glitch that allows you to phase through blocks. This glitch is not practical for abusive glitches as the top of the nether is protected from people entering. The glitch works as follows. First you sit on a minecart, next you aim up and cast your rod, lastly watch your self fly into the air. With this glitch, one can "Phase" through blocks and come out the other side.
