Hello, this is a quick tutorial on how to install optifine if your a noob (like I was) on how to install things (again like I was) then this is a great tutorial for you! Ok lets start


1. First go into your internet browser and put in this link http://optifine.net/downloads

<----- Like that!

2. Next download the file that corresponds to your computer.

3. Great! now click the download button.

4. Now drag the jar into your desktop and click it two times.

5. Awesome! now ignore this and press open.

6. Alright, now press install.

7. Log into Minecraft

8. Now press Edit Profile.

9. Ok almost done! now you click the release (what ever vision your on) and switch it to Optifine!

10. Done! click save and your done!

Press play and enjoy. You made it! Hope this helped! Bye!

Funny thing is, optifine actually makes my game run WORSE than usual. The fact that its a mod only makes my computer work harder, and it means that it lags more every time I install it. The only thing is that I benefit from is the zoom thing in which I can get further shots from, and that makes my game lag a whole lot more when I do it.

That makes no sense lol. I've only ever had improved fps with optifine.

My old computer always ran like 6 FPS without Optifine but with it it was playable, getting up to 30. I have noticed when I got my new PC, that it made my FPS drop. I believe if you are running 60+ fps without it, it hardly makes a difference and sometimes makes your FPS worse
